The room and the machines

One room, air-conditioned, parking outside. Every machine is here for a reason.

NM Élite Studio is a single room at Via Marecchiese 354 in Villa Verucchio, near Rimini, fitted with Panatta plate-loaded machines, Xenios USA racks and free weights, and a Beyond Power Voltra One for digital resistance. It is air-conditioned, has free parking outside, and is used by appointment — never more than five people at a time.

What it looks like

  • The weights floor at NM Élite Studio, with Panatta machines under the hexagonal ceiling lights
  • Wide view of NM Élite Studio with the leg press, the yellow mural and the hexagonal lights
  • NM Élite Studio seen from the entrance, with racks, benches and the street windows
  • The Beyond Power Voltra One clamped to a rack, studio logo on its display
  • Reception at NM Élite Studio, yellow logo on a black desk

Three suppliers, three jobs

  • Panatta

    Apiro, Italy

Guided-path plate-loaded machines. Built round the movement rather than the frame.

  • Xenios USA

    Free weights

Racks, barbells, dumbbells. The part of the job no machine replaces.

  • Beyond Power

    Digital resistance

A motor instead of plates. Software works out the load, not gravity.

The machines, one by one

Under every model is the reason it earns its floor space.

  • Panatta

    Super Lat Pulldown Circular

    Back

A circular path and independent arms keep the work in the lats without loading the shoulders and wrists — suitable even for delicate joints.

  • Panatta

    Super Leg Press 45°

    Legs and glutes

Solid frame, clean travel: the load stays in your legs and never reaches your lower back. This is the machine that lets you push the intensity safely.

  • Panatta

    Dual Adductor / Abductor

    Stabilisers and glutes

Constant tension through the muscles that hold your pelvis steady, and it switches between adduction and abduction in seconds.

  • Panatta

Dual Leg Extension / Seated Leg Curl

    Quads and hamstrings

An adjustable seat lines your knee up with the pivot. Get that right and the load goes into the muscle instead of the joint.

  • Beyond Power

    Voltra One

    Digital resistance

A portable motor that creates resistance instead of plates. It can overload the eccentric, adjust by the gram, and hand back data on every rep as you do it. Cast iron cannot.

  • Xenios USA

Power rack, half rack and Smith machine

    Free weights

Squats, lunges and presses taken to the limit, with the safeties pinned where they should be. The guided bar earns its place when you isolate a muscle and want stability.

  • Xenios USA

    Dumbbells, plates and barbells

    Free weights

Dense rubber, knurling that holds, calibrated weights. Progressive overload only works if the number stamped on the plate is the truth.

  • Xenios USA

    Sled, slam balls and kettlebells

    Conditioning

High-intensity circuits and explosive power. The burn carries on well after you have left.

No two leg presses are the same

Change the angle, change the travel, and you change where the load ends up: on one machine the drive stays in your legs, on another part of it reaches your lower back. On your own you cannot tell — you find out when something starts to hurt.

Then there is the setup. Lining your knee up with the pivot of a leg extension takes ten seconds and decides whether you are training the quad or the joint. That is half the reason there is a trainer on the floor.
